Dark side of El Primero - Genuine El Primero series tourbillon hollow chronograph

At the 2016 Basel Watch Fair, the famous watchmaker Zenith brought several new timepieces with novel appearances and excellent craftsmanship. Among them, two were designed with "open-faced" watches, Equipped with the brand's iconic movement - El Primero (star speed) is not often seen outside to show in front of everyone. One of the two timepieces is a "simple" time-keeping function, while the other is the protagonist of today, built from Zenlock's watch factory in Lehre, with its original Swiss style El Primero series tourbillon hollow chronograph.


Launching a brand new EL Primero Chronograph is not a big news in itself, but we have to say that it is made of black ceramic material, the surface shows the complex mechanism of its internal watch, really gives El Primero A new interpretation of the series is exceptionally impressive. The use of dark gray not only does not bring the slightest sense of monotonous, but even more highlights the appearance of the whole table and the use of technology on the originality.


This watch is equipped with a movement inside the timing function and tourbillon combined together, the vibration frequency of 36000 vph, or 5Hz, high frequency operation coupled with very beautiful mechanical tourbillon mechanism against the background, really make the whole Section table more memorable. Cal.4035B movement of this model through superb grinding process to show the amazing depth of texture, the contrast of light and shade, effectively creating a very lively disc. Tourbillon mechanism is still located at 11 o'clock, but with the previous El Primero Tourbillon Titanium Chronograph, it does not add the date of the surrounding display.


The two open timing chucks are located at 3 o'clock and 6 o'clock respectively, and the words "Zenith" and "El Primero" are carved out of the vicinity by their bulged letters. Its hour and minute hands are coated with ruthenium and covered with black luminous material. The only place with bright colors is the top of the chronograph hands. The red color is used only to further enhance the clarity and readability of the dial.


45mm size ceramic case with the perfect combination of dark black color together, low-key but restrained. The back of the watch, through the sapphire crystal glass, the wearer can observe the complicated column wheel timing mechanism inside.


This Genuine El Primero Tourbillon hollow outfit features a sporty perforated rubber strap with a clasp triple folding buckle. Its price of 49,000 Swiss francs, combined with high-frequency tourbillons and reliable timing, plus an excellent look make it truly worth it.
