Pneumatic diaphragm pump troubleshooting

1. Prior to removing the pneumatic diaphragm pump, mark the gas chambers and liquid chambers on the left and right sides respectively to facilitate subsequent reassembly.

2. Use a wrench to loosen the small clamp connecting the outlet tube to the liquid chamber. Remove the outlet tube to see the ball and valve seat. Remove the ball and seat and check for other wear and tear on the pump. Chemical corrosion, cracks and the like.

3. Use a wrench to loosen the small clamp connecting the inlet tube to the liquid chamber. Remove the outlet tube to see the ball and valve seat. Remove the ball and seat and check for other wear and tear on the pump. Chemical corrosion, cracks and the like.

4. Use a wrench to separate the liquid chamber from the pump intermediate. Remove the liquid chamber to see the diaphragm and diaphragm clamp.

5. Use tools or wrenches to fix the left and right edges of the diaphragm clamp to separate the diaphragm assembly from the intermediate body. Then turn clockwise to loosen the diaphragm assembly. After removing the diaphragm from the clamp, remove the shaft from the intermediate body.

6. Use a clamp (padded wood) to separate the shaft from the diaphragm unit and check shaft, clamp, diaphragm for damage and corrosion.

7. Install from step 6 to step 1

Pneumatic diaphragm pump action, but the flow is small or no liquid out:

1. Check the cavitation of the pump to reduce the speed of the pump to allow liquid to enter the chamber.

2. Check if the valve ball is stuck. If the operating fluid is incompatible with the pump elastomer, the elastomer will swell. Please replace the appropriate material elastomer.

3. Check the pump inlet connector is completely tight leak, especially near the entrance of the valve ball to be locked.

Pump air valve frozen:

Check the compressed air moisture content is too high, the installation of air-drying equipment

Pump outlet bubble generation:

Check the diaphragm is broken, check the clamp is locked, especially the inlet pipe clamp.

The product flows out of the air vent:

Check the diaphragm is broken, check the diaphragm and the clamp inside and outside the clamp on the shaft

Valve rattles: increase export or import lift.

Pump Removal and Reassembly Guide:

WARNING: Before repairing a Pneumatic diaphragm pump, first remove the Air Supply Piping from the Pneumatic diaphragm pump and vent the air pressure in the Pneumatic diaphragm pump. Remove all tubing connecting the inlet and outlet of the pneumatic diaphragm pump and drain the fluid in the pump into a suitable container. Wear protective cap, glasses, gloves

No action or slow pump operation:

1. Check the air inlet filter or air filter device for impurities.

2. Check if the air valve is stuck and clean the air valve with cleaning fluid.

3. Check air valve for wear and tear, replace new parts if necessary.

4. Check the center of the seal parts condition, if severely worn, you can not achieve the sealing effect, and the air will be discharged from the air outlet. Due to its special construction, use only GLYD circles.

5. Check the air valve piston activity is normal.

6. Check the type of lubricant. If the added lubricant is above the recommended viscosity, the piston may get stuck or malfunction. Recommend the use of thin and antifreeze lubricants. (ISO grade 15 / 5WT antifreeze oil)
