Reasons for Centrifugal Pump Power Consumption and Its Treatment

Centrifugal pump power consumption is too large reason:
(1) pump matching unreasonable, after the transformation of the pump or replacement of the pump, the pressure and displacement than the original pump has increased, and the motor with the power is too small;
(2) the pump outlet valve is too open, the pump pressure is too low, the pump displacement exceeds the value of the nameplate too much, deviate from the working point too much;
(3) packing pressed too tight;
(4) the power supply voltage is too low, the current exceeds the rated value;
(5) motor or pump seriously different heart, severe vibration;
(6) pump friction between the rotor and stator components;
(7) motor rotor movement, the position is not correct, the journal step and bearing bush end face or coupling and oil seal cover phase;
(8) coupling buffer damping rubber ring is too tight, the pump before channeling drive motor coupling and bearing cover phase mill;
(9) pump balance plate did not open, serious grinding, balance return pipe hot;
(10) pressure relief sleeve or balance disc radial clearance is too small, excessive deflection, running wear;
(11) When the pump is started, there is a serious internal failure, such as the mouth ring, the sleeve coming off or the clearance is too small;
(12) pump shaft rigidity is too poor, bending deformation.
Centrifugal pump power consumption is too large can take three ways to deal with:
(1) According to the scene, timely take corresponding measures to deal with:
① contact with the power supply unit, the supply voltage adjusted to the specified range;
② adjust the degree of opening of the outlet valve, so that it runs at normal operating conditions;
③ appropriate control of pump pressure and displacement, reducing the motor running current;
④ adjust the packing gland tightness.
(2) If the above measures can not be eliminated, stop the pump to check and deal with:
① re-empty, drain the net air pump;
Check and adjust the pressure of lubricating oil road, repair or replace the bearing bush;
③ replace the coupling damping rubber ring;
④ maintenance or replacement balance plate;
⑤ for the three security operations, repair and replacement of damaged parts;
⑥ with the professional team to deal with motor failure.
(3) To the higher level production management department and design unit, put forward the opinions and suggestions to improve the pump unit mismatch:
① replace the motor;
② impeller reduction or cutting impeller.
