Impeller damage is usually worn or broken, the following reasons.

① impeller imbalance or improper installation, resulting in friction.

②Because the pump shaft is bent, the pump shaft and the power shaft are not the same, the bearings or packing wear too much, causing the impeller to shake and generate friction.

③ by sediment, water erosion, wear grooves or streaks.

④ debris sucked into the impeller, broken impeller.

⑤ cavitation occurs, resulting in honeycomb-shaped hole.

Impellers that wear too much, have severe cavitation or are damaged should generally be replaced with new impellers, eliminating any cause of wear or damage.

In the case of local damage (such as trenches, voids, etc.) can still be used, welding repair.

Method of operation is: the welding pieces placed on the charcoal fire heated to about 600 ℃, at the welding pad to hang tin, and then gas welding flame brass rod dissolved into the trench or empty. After welding, remove the charcoal, cover the insulation with asbestos, make it cool slowly, to prevent cracks, and then cool or flatten the surface after light. Epoxy resin mortar sometimes can also be used to repair the impeller, especially for more sediment and make the blade wear serious places, if the entire blade is coated with epoxy resin mortar, you can receive better results.
